Supreme Court mein Urdu ki Goonj

Supreme court passed an order related to Sex workers in India on 24th of August 2011 in a bench of  JusticeMarkandey Katju and Justice Gyan Sudha Misra .Interestingly the order begin with the famous lines of Sahir Ludhiyanvis Poem Chakle. Here is the initial part of  aforesaid order  which I receive from my friend brother Mohd Tariq khan.

                                                                   REPORTABLE

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF INDIA

CRIMINAL APPELLATE JURISDICTION

                                         -versus-

O  R  D  E  R

“Madad chaahati hai ye hawwaa ki beti
Yashodaa ki hamjins raadhaa ki beti
Payambar ki ummat zulaikhaa ki beti
Sanaakhwaan-e-taqdees-e-mashriq kahaan hain?
Zaraa mulk ke rahbaron ko bulao
Ye kooche ye galiyaan ye manzar dikhao
Sanaakhwaan-e-taqdees-e-mashriq ko lao
Sanakhwaan-e-taqdees-e-mashriq kahaan hain?”

-         Sahir Luhdhianvi :  Chakle

1.       This order is in continuation of our earlier orders in this case which aim at providing a life of dignity to the sex workers in our country by giving them some technical skills through which they can earn their livelihood instead of by selling their bodies.   The legal background of these orders is Article 21 of the Constitution, in which the word `life’ has been interpreted by this Court to mean a life of dignity, and not just an animal life.

KNOW THE TRUTH

Media is the fourth pillar of democracy but unfortunately Urdu Media is very much neglected in our country. The reason is crystal clear .Urdu which is orally used by a large population of India, intentionally recognized with Muslim community only and since biased bureaucracy and diplomat politicians have no interest in Muslim community at all, they wish to kill any news related to linguistic and religious minority.Governments know the Urdu media through their loyal employees in translated form who either misquotes the Urdu news or mold it in a soften version which suits their bosses .
Apart from that there are millions of people who love Urdu language and literature, but unable to read its script. For this very reason they assess urdu language and literature on the basis of phonetic medium like Mushaira, Films,Serials etc.Though these mediums are good in expansion of Urdu, they don't represnt the entire richness and essence of a rich language like Urdu.
MEDIA WATCH URDU is created mainly for above two important groups.
All are welcomed on this portal to share their thoughts, concerns, feeling on Urdu Media and its various aspects.
